Abraham Believed God

Abraham believed God

Genesis 11 Terah and Abraham

Terah was an idol worshipper, and Abraham, as his son, grew up in that environment. Today there are children like Abraham who do not grow up in God-centered homes. Yet he is an example of one who chose the God way, not the idol way. What does that teach us? It teaches us that God provides all the evidence we need to choose rightly. And even though Satan seeks to blind “the minds of those who do not believe so they would not see the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God” [2Cor 4:4] God has provided all we need to choose Him and His way.  And Abraham is an example of one who “believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” [Gal 3:6]

Our God is greater than Satan, and His “creation…and His invisible attributes—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen because they are understood through what has been made. So people are without excuse.” [Rom 1:20 author paraphrase]

Pray for open eyes to see and understand because we know that as long as the Lord tarries, His promise still is that He “does not wish for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.” [2Peter 3:9]

Is there someone in need of salvation? Pray for their eyes to be open to the gospel.
