It takes wisdom and a desire to know Him… Poor little Samuel didn’t know it was the Lord’s voice, but God was watching over him, he’d been dedicated to the Lord (a promise being a promise). God watches over us too. Often we imagine God being too small or somehow incapable of intervening in our lives…The truth is ‘we’ are the small ones – we can’t imagine Him (God ALMIGHTY) being bigger than anything we could or would imagine. So, we don’t listen for His voice… and most often, God will not shout to be heard. I am learning disciplines as I “buffet my body”, sitting quietly waiting to hear His voice. My faith is rewarded, but not the way I wanted or thought it would be. God’s picture for me is so much bigger than I could imagine…
