Prov 30 One of my enjoyments, of which there are many, is to browse in the bookstore near to us. I could spend hours reading, browsing, picking out books but when I return home, the book I love most is God’s Word and it is waiting for me each morning as I awaken with wonderful words of blessing.

It seems that our author, Agur, also loves to read also love as well as he asks:  “Who has ascended into heaven, and then descended? Who has gathered up the winds in his fists? Who has bound up the waters in his cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son’s name? – if you know!”  Later, another lover of books and truth would write that it is He the very son of the Most High and “he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” [Is 9] Or how about the Apostle John who wrote about Him in the book of the Revelation saying: He is the “Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end!”

Agur asked: What is His Name and what is his son’s name—if you know! The inspired Word of God tells us that His Name is Jesus the Christ, the Son of the Living God.

Do you know the One who came to save His people from their sins?
